Today? Nothing special (sarcasm)

Just the normal stuff. But I actually did go to Ottoson's house to start the spanish project. Amazing. Amazing. All we really did was throw these giant red balls and various objects at eachother. It was a killer time. I was there until about 4 o'clock and Thom picked me up and we went to my Grandma's 70th birthday dinner. A huge three course meal, extremely italian. Insane, it was incredible. I was filled up after the first course but of course, I had to keep eating. After I finished the 56 hour dinner, we went back to Aunt Joanne's house... FOR MORE FOOD!! There, we had cake, desert, cofee, all the goods. Afetr I got sick and tired of fod, my sister came and we all left. I ended up going in her car, and she went to KFC cause she was starving, and then I got hungry, so I ate Popcorn Chicken and a medium Pepsi. Insane. INSANE!! So today I pigged out. Awesome? Eh, not really.

I was actually supposed to go to practice with Paul and Danny. My parents were actually going to let me do it but Danny's friend was stuck in some random place? I'm not sure, but he had to go pick her/him up so we couldn't have practice. I was really looknig forward to it too. I was gonna be using my new sticks and new microphone set. Itw as gonna be a nice like ice practice. Too bad. Hopefully my parents will let me go next week. We have to go into the studio in the third week of January, and that is... very soon, so I need to work on the songs and get everything down. I doubt that i'll have any song perfectly down by then. This indeed will suck but when it's done, it will indeed rock your mom's fat ass.

Seriously, are we supposed to enjoy it?

I went shopping, YET AGAIN, with my sister Malori today at Roosevelt. Honestly, I had a blast. I shopped the usual stores you know. All that jazz. Hot Topic, FYE, Sam Goody, Urban Outfitters, same old junk. Of course I have no money left because I never know when to stop. I have also realized today that I am extremely lonely and need to get myself a woman. I think I know just exactly who this lady is. She is extremely lucky. Good god, pray for me. I also realized, alot of girls in my class, or just just girls in general at my school, are really hot. Why haven't I made a move on them? Oh right, cause i'm just Rick, the kid who cheers everyone up. Awesome? NOT! Also, I really wish people would respect me more, as much as they seem to, I know they really don't. I can't be this perfect. It's impossible. I want enemies, I want an army to defend me. But instead I have everybody on my side, so there is no other side to attack. And that makes me the neutral party whenever theres a huge war between friends, and everybody uses me to get at other people. It sucks...

Shopping can sometimes be fun for guys... right?

So I went shopping the past two days with my sister, Morgan. Honestly I did have alot of fun. I bought a lot of killer stuff that I would like to share with you!!

So first, I went to Hot Topic in the Broadway Mall and bought some gloves. I can't find the picture of them so just deal with it for now.

I also picked up From First To Last - "Dear Diary, Mt Teen Angst Has A Body Count"

Honestly, it's alot better than I had expected it to be...

Then today, my fun day, I bought Everytime I Die - "Gutter Phenomenon"

It's so hardcore, it's ridiculous. I am in love with it.

TO THE T-SHIRTS!! I bought a killer Circa Survive shirt with this tree/woman type figure. It's awesome.

Straight Edge. Greatest life style you can ever live. I highly recommend it.

Now, it may seem like it is a girls belt, but I lvoed it so I bought this white, studded, double row belt. Check it out for yourself.

So that's pretty much it for now, but I should be going to the mall again tomorrow. Hooray for me?

Welcome to the life of Richard Bruce McLaughlin.

So here it is, the ever so emo/hardcore/punk kid that every hates to love but loves to hate. Oh that's not me. I'm the kid that everybody hates to hates and loves to love right? Well I sure do hope so. I guess i'll just get started by saying that today i'm supposed to going to Jeremy's with Jon and Payne to work on our Story of the Year covers for sunday's show (if this show even happens). I really don't feel like playing a show but it feels like we haven't played in THE longest time so I guess it would be a good refresher while we're looking for a new singer. Also, the other band, which is currently unnamed but I will refer to as Popcorn Manifesto, is getting ready to hit the studio in late January to work on our jams. I'm hoping that everyone is ready for Popcorn Manifesto because it's a style like non-other. I would say we're mixed with alot of Deftones, Incubus, and sprinkled on top is a little bit of Bush, Dead Poetic, and good stuff like that. I think the demo we're recording is really going to kick some major behind. We got some nice complex drums going on, beautiful guitar riffage, and bass... oh lord the bass. I just gotta say, this is probably the best project I ever became a part of. The timing and keys and all that stuff... not only am I playing with these guys, Paul (Guitar/Vocals), and Danny (Bass/Vocals), i'm also learning a hell of alot from these fine fellas. They have the greatest musical genius I have ever seen in quite sometime. I mean, I met Paul cause he and his lady-friend Jessica needed a place to stay for awhile I suppose, and they lived with my sister, Morgan upstairs and I heard Paul playing Guitar so I went upstairs to see what he was working on, and he taught me all these cool things when he realized I was a drummer and he asked me if I wanted to jam with him sometime. It obivously turned out more than a jam cause now we're totally going for a full fledged band right here. I met Danny the first day we jammed, he's insane and a great bass player. We used to play at Matt's Playhaus until some weird situation came along and all that jazz-a-matazz. We now play at The Jamhouse in Lindenhurst and we get pretty good sound there but the equipment isn't all that great but what do you expect from a studio planted in the middle of nowhere? Exactly.

Now being in Popcorn Manifesto doesn't mean that i'm done with ATP/Juneau at all. Okay, now this ATP/Juneau thing is getting to be annoying. It is now referred to as Juneau, I love that name. I doubt that will be the official name cause Joe (Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals) doesn't really like it too much... okay, he hates the name but everybody else is in love with it. This is the first band i've been in and we've been playing for about a year now. It will officially be a year on February 20th. February 20, 2005, we played at Mr. Beery's. It was our first show together and we most definitely had the greatest time ever. Ever since that day, I knew that music is what I want to do. It's my passion. Without it, I really have no idea what I would be doing right now. I mean right now, i'm typing about music, while listening to music, and getting ready to play some music. It's crazy and invading in on my life, but that's fine with me. I love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! So since everybody in Juneau is based in New Jersey, every weekend I take the LIRR to Penn Station then the NJ Transit to Millburn. Luckily, my father lives in Millburn so I can spend time working on music and hanging with my papa dukes. Jeremy (Guitar) lives in Millburn like 5 minutes away from my dads house, and Jon, (Guitar/Backing Vocals) Joe, and Payne (Bass Guitar Soemtimes) all live in Livingston, the next town over. So they're all really close except for me and Pete (Keyboards/Vocals). Pete lives in Brooklyn which is where I had originated but then had migrated into the dreadful Long Island in 1999, but without that move, I wouldn't be anywhere I was today, so I thank god for that everyday before I play a show. Thanks to the big guy up there for all the talent i've been blessed with.

Thanks to all of you for all of your support and helping me out with advice along the way with all this music. It's greatly appreciated. I'll be sure to return the favor shortly when I get my record contract with Warner Bros. Yeah right... well, it is a possibility, but it will be awhile. PEACE SUCKAS!!!

P.S. I should be posting up some cool pictures and videos from practices and just cool stuff like hanging out cause we're all crazy kids. Alright enough of this. I'm out of here.
